Zolo Signature Red Blend 2012
AgroVino 89 pts.
A fantastic early indicator for 2012 reds from Mendoza, this young blend serves up a dessert buffet of strawberry shortcake and cherry pie in the bouquet. The sweetness deepens in the mouth, where everything turns into cherry jam spiked with mint.

TILIA Bonarda Mendoza 2010

Bright dark red. Perfumed aromas of blackberry, currant, violet, licorice and menthol lifted by hints of herbs and pepper. Supple, ripe and nicely concentrated, with mid-palate sweetness restrained by vigorous, harmonious acidity. Finishes thicker than the 2010 cabernet, with fine-grained tannins and lovely lingering fruits and herbs.

2010 'Cervantes by Chappellet' Mountain Cuvee, Napa
If you're looking for wine that is quintessentially Napa Valley, but more in the old school style, where fruit and acidity and tannins are all in harmony, then Chappellet should be at the top of your list. The 2010 Cervantes fits that bill even better because the extremely cool 2010 growing season kept the grapes from getting too ripe. A blend of 50% Cab, 35% Merlot, 9% Petit Verdot and 6% Malbec, the wine brims with aromas of cherry cola, cigar box and espresso. Full-bodied on the palate, with compact sweet fruit, chocolate and spice notes that open up wonderfully now

Château Haut-La Péreyre
Haut-La Péreyre rouge: This is a blend of roughly 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, made in tank and bottled without filtration. 2010 Stefan Breuer 'R3' Riesling
This represents a stimulating and intriguing concentrate of diverse flavors one can only hope to capture with “mineral” vocabulary. Lime, cucumber, and stalk cellar inform a juicy, coolly-refreshing matrix, and the salinity here tugs on the salivary glands even as the wine glides off with delicacy yet formidable persistence. Fineherb is the legal wine term used for a wine that is a touch sweeter than ‘tröcken’ in German.

Innocent Bystander Pinot Noir 2009
Pinot Noir from Yarra Valley, Australia
The Wine Advocate 88 Pts.- "The 2009 Pinot Noir comes from 6 growers right across the Yarra and I'm told all the fruit was harvested before the fires. It receives around 20-30% carbonic maceration.
